Exciting Changes Coming to NDIS Planning

Empowrd • October 26, 2023

Dear NDIS Participants,

We're thrilled to share some important updates about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and how it's evolving to better support you. The NDIS is introducing a new computer system called PACE, set to roll out gradually across Australia from October 30th. These changes aim to streamline and enhance your NDIS experience.

What's Changing and Why It Matters

One significant change you'll notice is that during your planning meetings or when you receive a new plan, you'll be asked to endorse or choose your Plan Manager. This step ensures that the NDIA knows you've given your consent for us to be your Plan Manager.

What is Empowrd's Role as Your Plan Manager?

Once you've selected Empowrd as your Plan Manager, an important process kicks in:

Consent & Support

By choosing Empowrd, you're automatically granting us consent to access and manage specific parts of your NDIS plan on your behalf. This is important for us to effectively assist you.

Endorsed Provider

Empowrd will then become an 'endorsed provider.' This allows us to continuously monitor your NDIS funding and budgets. It also ensures that we can quickly process payments to your service providers.

Why It Matters to You

Empowrd is committed to making your NDIS journey as smooth as possible. With your endorsement, we can provide you with the support and service you deserve. We understand that some participants might not be familiar with their Plan Manager, and we want to make sure that you are fully informed about this essential change.

These changes are designed to benefit you and ensure you receive the best NDIS support and services available.

Stay Informed

If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team. We're here to help and make this transition a positive experience for you.

Thank you for choosing Empowrd as your Plan Manager. We are truly honoured to be part of your NDIS journey.

Best regards,

The Empowrd team
